Under the Sea
18″ x 79″ Diptych. Mixed media. Ocean secrets. Mirrors on the sea foam. Made from our old doors to the dining room in our Vista house. I had a lot of fun with this one. It works pretty well as a banner. See the details below:

Mirror Image Dyptich
33″ x 12″ (2 pcs) mixed media. Difficult to match a brightly colored bathroom for Maggie and Henry – ended up painting the opposite color and it worked. The contrast in colors along with the embedded mirrors really pop in a tight space. We hung them on either side of a large mirror. Embrace the space!

Dahlia Still Life
36″ x 30″ mixed media. Playing with bottles. Poured flower petals over a well-developed background. I found out this is a pretty tricky technique! Sara helped conceive the still life look. We own a vase that was a perfect model for this.

Looking at the Bottle
36″ x 49″ mixed media. Quick study prompted by a gallery visit in La Jolla (after Byron). Strong painting with very few, bold colors on strong relief. Perhaps the bottle should have been nearly empty! Or is it a second bottle? Smacks of Rufino Tamayo – my favorite artist. I even found a street named after him in my Tijuana…
