40″ x 48″ Mixed Media. In 2019 we traveled to Spain with some good friends and had around 45 minutes alone in the Altamira (reproduction) caves. Magical. I really got lost in the experience, imagining our ancestors 36.000 years ago painting magnificent paintings in a very low cavern. I needed to do a cave painting after that.
I have since had the opportunity to visit Spain’s Museum of Human Evolution in Burgos to see evidence of man in Europe as long as 1.3 million years ago. Isn’t life great?
