36″ x 49″ mixed media. Quick study prompted by a gallery visit in La Jolla (after Byron). Strong painting with very few, bold colors on strong relief. Perhaps the bottle should have been nearly empty! Or is it a second bottle? Smacks of Rufino Tamayo – my favorite artist. I even found a street named after him in my Tijuana days.
